TKYTOO |tee kee tooˈ|
Welcome to the home of TKYTOO! Also known as The Kitchen Yogi, these bent pieces of metal are so much more than cookie cutters. Originated in 2006 by artist Karen La Du, TKY TOO is now available in stores worldwide. Her cutters are utilized not only in the kitchen, but also in galleries, classrooms, workshops, instillations, videos and of course, on the yoga mat.
A NOTE FROM KAREN LA DU, THE ARTIST BEHIND TKYTOO:
Sylvia Jones at Play Time Yoga has been a wonderful customer and confidant over the years from the days of The Kitchen Yogi and the changes that brought TKYTOO into being. I am pleased that she is now the exclusive seller of the TKYTOO line of cookie cutters. They are now ALL limited editions as I will no longer be putting them into production.
The storm named Sandy changed my life forever.
I am fortunate to have seen the surging ocean waters from the fortress of my family home.
I am fortunate that we found shelter over 3 weeks while the house dried out.
I am fortunate that my Mom, my daughter, our Five Black & White Cats and I are safely back in our home under construction.
Chaos is my middle name these days and Serendipity my first.
I have learned to turn on a dime and enjoy it as plans and situations change that fast :)
I have learned that kindness, compassion & a true sense of selflessness bring the most interesting people into our lives.
The energy works both ways!
If I was fearless before Sandy I am FOREVER FEARLESS after Sandy.
May you all experience a pivotal time in your lives where a seemingly terrible situation brings true grace and peace to you as I have.
Enjoy the journey of your life.
It's the only one you have.
Karen and her mother returning back to their home just a few days after Sandy.
